An Unforgettable Journey
Bushranger recently had the opportunity to be a guest on Pat Callinan’s 4×4 Adventures, an iconic TV show that has long been a favourite among off-road enthusiasts. Shane, our Marketing Manager representing the Bushranger brand, was thrilled to showcase our Night Hawk driving light products in some of Australia’s most challenging and remote terrains.
Filming for Pat Callinans 4X4 Adventure Season 17, the planned adventure took an unexpected detour from the length of the Canning Stock Route to a partial Canning Stock Route and into the heart of Karlamilyi National Park, Australia’s most remote and second-largest national park.
Being part of this season was an adventure and a privilege to represent Bushranger 4X4. We have a long-standing reputation for Australian design and engineering, and the Night Hawk driving lights are a testament to our commitment to innovation and performance. Designed to provide exceptional visibility and durability, these lights are perfect for the harsh conditions of the Australian outback.
The Pat Callinan team has been utilising the Night Hawk range of lights for years. On this remote trip filled with large corrugations and thousands of kilometres between camps, their powerful illumination and robust construction proved invaluable as we navigated the treacherous and isolated landscapes. It was great to have all models fitted and readily available in the different terrains and environments.
The Canning Stock Route Detour
Our initial destination was the Canning Stock Route, one of the world’s most famous and challenging tracks. Spanning about 1,850 kilometres, this route traverses some of Australia’s most remote and arid regions. It is a bucket-list adventure for many off-road enthusiasts, known for its demanding conditions and breathtaking scenery.
However, our journey took an unexpected turn. Due to a heavy wet season on the Northern end, we had to alter our plans and follow a detour route across the Gary Junction Rd towards Well 33 of the Canning Stock Route. While this was a deviation from our original plan, it offered a unique and equally thrilling experience.
Our trip led us further to Karlamilyi National Park, a hidden gem in the heart of Western Australia. Spanning over 1.3 million hectares, Karlamilyi is Australia’s second-largest national park and its most remote. The park’s isolation means it remains largely untouched, offering a pristine wilderness experience.
So, what’s in store for Season 17?
Without giving too much away, below are some photos of this trip. In the not-too-distant future, we also plan to release a behind-the-scenes look at the TV Show.
This adventure highlighted the importance of reliable equipment and the thrill of exploring Australia’s remote and beautiful landscapes, making it a truly memorable experience.
