The Bushranger Recovery Line Damper, also known as a recovery dampener or blanket, is designed to improve safety by reducing the risk of injury if the recovery line fails during recovery. While our gear is built to withstand tough conditions and rated, a damper or multiple dampers are an essential precaution for both snatch and winch recoveries.
Fitted over the recovery line, the damper’s weight applies downward force in the event of a failure, helping to limit recoil and projectiles from the broken line.
Constructed from heavy-duty, reinforced PVC, it weighs 1.2kg and features internal weight pockets that can be filled with sand or dirt for extra damping when needed. Wide Velcro tabs allow for fast setup and keep the damper securely in place during use, and a reflective strip that increases visibility.
