Kingsley Enterprises has been at the heart of Australia’s automotive and 4WD accessory industry. Starting out like many others in their own garage in Sydney, we have grown into a respected name known for quality, innovation, and passion for the great outdoors.
As interest in locally made vehicle accessories grew, Kingsley began manufacturing side steps, van and marine windows, and other quality components, establishing a production facility in Bankstown, NSW.
Kingsley pioneered the OEM and aftermarket sectors. From early Kombi van louvre windows and Supervent windows to complete 4x4 accessory systems, Kingsley’s mission remains clear: deliver reliable, innovative products for Australian conditions.
THE BIRTH OF BUSHRANGER 4X4 GEAR
In the 1990s, as Australia’s off-road adventure scene grew rapidly, Kingsley Enterprises launched a brand that would soon become synonymous with rugged reliability — Bushranger 4x4 Gear.
Bushranger was built on shared love of the outdoors and commitment to engineering gear that excels where it matters. From recovery gear and compressors to lighting and winches, Bushranger quickly earned a reputation for innovation, dependable quality, and Australian-tested durability.
BY 1994
The company embarked on a significant market expansion – eventually becoming a highly visible brand in every 4WD store and at trade shows and 4×4 meets across Australia. Kingsley Enterprises invested in building its workforce and establishing manufacturing locations, opening two sizeable factories in Australia. By the end of the 1990s, Bushranger offered more than 5,000 products and accessories for a huge range of 4WD models and vans, from the Hilux and Land Cruiser to the Ranger and L200.
IN 2003
Kingsley Enterprises joined the ARB Corporation, Australia’s largest 4x4 accessory maker and distributor. This partnership furthered Bushranger’s commitment to developing premium, Australian-tested products rooted in quality and adventure.
In 2007, Kingsley moved into a purpose-built facility in Ingleburn, NSW, uniting all operations and continuing its legacy as a trusted Australian 4WD industry supplier.

THE CURRENT DAY
As of mid-2025, the Ingleburn location has expanded its footprint, enabling further R&D, testing, and warehouse facilities. Kingsley Enterprises remains the proud home of Bushranger 4x4 Gear, continuing a legacy of more than four decades of Australian design, development, and testing. Kingsley is driven by a passion for adventure and commitment to excellence.
Our Engineering R&D is our backbone, and our passion for product drives continuous improvement. We are proud to house some of the industry’s most innovative products, from the first adjustable LED driving lights to the first 4X4 winch without an external control box. Developing everything from winches and recovery gear to vehicle protection and lighting, every Bushranger product follows our founding philosophy.
